Desserts for Every Body, Starting With What Goes In

At Savidge Desserts, we believe great desserts begin with great ingredients. Every recipe is built with intention, balancing flavor, quality, and close attention to allergens and food sensitivities so more people can enjoy dessert without compromise.

We do not cut corners, hide fillers, or rely on shortcuts. Instead, we choose ingredients you recognize, trust, and can feel good about serving to the people you love.

What We Use and Why It Matters

Premium Flour Options

We carefully select our flours to deliver consistent texture, structure, and flavor and never bromated to ensure safety.

  • High-quality red wheat flour for our classic recipes
  • Certified gluten-free flour blends for our gluten-free options, formulated to bake up rich and indulgent without dryness or grit

Each flour is chosen to perform beautifully in small-batch baking, whether you are a first-time baker or a seasoned pro.

No Bromated Flour

Potassium bromate is a dough-strengthening agent that has been restricted or banned in many countries. Savidge Desserts does not use bromated flour in any of our mixes.

Learn more about potassium bromate from the National Institutes of Health.

Sweeteners With Purpose

Sweetness should enhance dessert, not overpower it.

  • Pure cane sugar for traditional recipes
  • Monk fruit and allulose in our reduced-sugar and sugar-free options
  • No corn syrup and no artificial sweeteners

We choose non-sugar sweeteners that taste clean, bake well, and avoid the bitter or artificial aftertaste common in many alternatives.

Monk Fruit Sweetener

Monk fruit is a plant-based sweetener derived from a small melon native to Southeast Asia. It provides sweetness without added sugar and is commonly used in desserts designed to reduce overall sugar content.

Learn more about monk fruit and how it’s used in food from the Cleveland Clinic.

Allulose

Allulose is a naturally occurring sweetener found in small amounts in foods like figs and raisins. It tastes and bakes like sugar, but the body metabolizes it differently than traditional sugar.

The FDA provides detailed explanation of how allulose is metabolized.

High-Quality Dark Chocolate

Chocolate is never an afterthought here.

We use rich, high-quality dark chocolate selected for depth, balance, and melt so every bite delivers indulgent, bakery-level flavor.

Madagascar Pure Vanilla Beans

Vanilla should taste like vanilla.

That is why we use premium Madagascar pure vanilla beans, prized for their warm, complex flavor and natural aroma. No imitation vanilla. No shortcuts.

Salt Chosen With Care

We season thoughtfully and intentionally.

While many brands use sea salt, we intentionally avoid it. Some individuals with seafood allergies can be sensitive to sea salt due to trace elements, so we opt for alternatives that deliver the same balance without unnecessary risk.
